Scanlan Theodore Spring Summer 2015 Collection Review
As we head in to the Australian Spring/Summer season, Style AND Tonic continues the tradition of reviewing our favourite new season designer collections. Our latest review is from Melbourne based luxury brand Scanlan Theodore.
Famous for its well-crafted, streamlined designs and beautiful fabrics, Scanlan Theodore has a cult following in Sydney and Melbourne. So far this season the range includes some beautiful spring prints, evening and cocktail dresses, as well as some leather skirts and structured jackets and Scanlan Theodore’s signature crepe knit as well as scuba. The colour palette this season features olives, pastels, blacks and white. If you are heading to the Spring Racing Carnival there is loads to choose from but as we always suggest, get in early.
Here is some of my favourites pieces and things that I have bought myself so far. We hope you enjoy our reviews and they help you to choose some amazing pieces for the season.
Crepe Knit Long Coat
This is a standout piece! I love this classic versatile vest/ coat and its beige colour. The cut of this is jacket is modern and lends itself to being worn over a dress or tailored pants as well as more casual items such as denim.
I’m always on the hunt for stylish casual wear. So these pants were a great choice. Available in black as well as the olive-green they are a really flattering style and light weight. Teamed with a relaxed white or black t-shirt, sandals and sunglasses, it’s the perfect weekend or school run outfit for Spring.
After many season of selling labels such as designer Thierry Lasry and Linda Farrow, Scanlan Theodore have introduced their own collection this season.
More Beautiful Leather Bags
Following on from the last few season, Scanlan Theodore have increased their range of leather handbags. These are really worth a look if you are in the market for a quality well crafted bag that doesn’t cost a fortune.
I love nude shoes mainly because of their flattering effect and although there is a good collection of brown and black shoes in store, it was the nude shoes that got me trying on. The ankle boots are stunning if high heels are your thing, otherwise the mid heel sling back is a great choice.
