Our Favourite Mini Designer Handbags

BY ANGELA

I love the latest mini designer handbag trend that I’ve been seeing everywhere recently.  Not only are they equally as stylish as their larger counterparts, but they are more affordable too. (If you have time, I’ve linked a great article on the rise of the luxury mini handbag Business of Fashion)

When I utilise my larger handbags, I fill it with so much random stuff you’d think I was heading to a B&B for the weekend.  However, when I use a mini handbag, it’s like a decluttering of the mind and soul – not to mention a sigh of relief from my neck and shoulders.

Mini handbags are ideal as a statement accessory as they won’t overwhelm an outfit due to the small size. Choose one with contrasting colours, patterns and/or trims.

Tips when choosing your mini handbag:

  • As with all designer purchases, I like to get my money’s worth so choose a style that you will have the confidence to wear with everything. That means activewear, work, off duty etc.
  • A mini handbag is a great segue from boring black to colours and patterns. The small unassuming size of the mini will give you the confidence to try something out of your comfort zone.
  • Before purchasing a mini bag, make sure you can fit your minimum requirement. For me that’s a phone, keys, credit card, lip balm and water bottle.
