lace up trends 2016

By Sarah |

Did you get yourself a pair of  Acquazzura lace up ballet flats last season or their sexy lace-up heels? Now is the time to start wishing you had, or at least moving them from your wishlist to your shopping cart, because not only have they moved from a trend to a modern classic, but the appeal of lace-up detail is only going from strength to strength and it’s not just in shoes!

When it comes to garment detail, it’s the lace up look that continues to be a favourite amongst celebrities and street style regulars. From the coveted Isabel Marrant lace-up  knit, to the latest Balmain and Chloe collections and nautical resort styles, this trend will be here for a while.

It’s not only our favourite designers who are featuring lace-up details,  so if you are not looking to splurge be sure to check out the high street and mid-tier designers as well.

Style AND Tonic Hints

# This detail can be worn for work or more conservative occasion by choosing a garment that features the lace-up detail in in the cuff or waist rather than the neckline.

Will you be adding this detail to your look this season? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below
