Caroline Issa Style Crush

There are so many successful and beautiful women to choose from for our style crush segment, but this months Caroline Issa is a standout choice, as she embodies the substance and drive we love in strong women combined with a fine appreciation for fashion. She’s entrepreneurial, ambitious and successful as well as sophisticated and stylish with a conservative twist.

After a career in modelling, Issa completed college at the prestigious Wharton Business School. She chose a path in management consulting that lead to advising work across many continents in retail and consumer goods. She is now chief executive and fashion director of a London based independent style magazine, Tank. And if that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Issa launched an on-line magazine, and collaborated on a range with Nordstrom this year.

Issa describes herself as “a businesswoman who loves fashion”. With a Chinese mother and a Lebanese-Iranian father you can see why notable street-style photographers love her. With her high cheekbones, flawless skin and dazzling smile, she is a regular on fashion blogs and best-dressed lists around the world.

Style AND Tonic love the confidence with which Issa carries herself and her individual style that marries bold colours and equally bold prints, towering statement shoes and decadent coats. Lean and tall, you’ll often see her in tailored pants, luxurious knits or mid length skirts. Issa’s style can be described as a combination of eclectic, glamorous and effortlessly stylish. The way she mixes prints, cuts and fabrics in combinations that are daring yet also conservative is a testament to her styling skills and ability to create trends, not just follow them. Issa does not dress to shock nor does she flash to much flesh, rather, it’s her appreciation for fashion as well as her functional and pragmatic approach to her wardrobe that creates a distinct Caroline Issa style.
